Destination Wedding Dresses: Defined.

As you’ve been hunting for THE dress for your wedding, have you found yourself getting confused by all the different types of dresses available? Don’t worry, you’re not the only one. Even those of us who spend our days with bridal gowns get confused sometimes. We often get asked, “What makes certain bridal gowns destination wedding dresses?”

A-line layered chiffon bridal gown

The perfect dress for your destination wedding is all about the fabric.

A beach or exotic location wedding is so romantic and fun. The last thing you want to do is pay for special shipping or extra luggage to bring along a ball gown made of tulle. An A-line layered chiffon bridal gown would be a perfect choice for traveling. Not only is this style  flattering on most body types, but it’s also a nice space saver. Plus, wrinkles fall out of chiffon pretty easily with just a little steam. Fly away with one of our perfect destination gowns!>>

You could also take a look at some tea-length dresses.

When looking at destination wedding dresses, take care to not forget about tea-length dresses. We love the vintage feel they give to your big day, but in this instance, we love how easy it is to transport them to your location. Plus, whether you’re wearing heels or walking along the beach, you won’t have to wrestle with your dress. One of my personal favorite tea-length dresses is Voyage by Mori Lee 6747. With its full skirt, crystal detail, and mid-century box pleats, this dress has me dreaming of Rome, Paris, or an afternoon on the beach.

When it comes to destination wedding dresses, try to think big picture.

Before you start shopping for your dress, take special notice of how you will be traveling, what type of venue you’re getting married in, how long you’ll be wearing the dress, and how much you want to spend. Your dress needs to be what you’ve been dreaming it to be. Maybe an A-line layered chiffon bridal gown isn’t the dress of your dreams. That’s ok! If your dress, location, or desired menu is what you’ve been dreaming of, you’ll find a way to accomplish it!
