Your Beach Wedding Ceremony: Need to Know Tips

Your Beach Wedding Ceremony: Need to Know Tips
Close your eyes and imagine the sound of waves crashing onto the sand while you make a promise to love and cherish your spouse for as long as you both shall live. There’s no denying that a beach wedding ceremony is dreamy and romantic, making the seashore a perfect place for your celebration. With a non-traditional venue, you have to considerunique ways to make the celebrations go smoothly. We’ve compiled a list of five tips to help you make the most of your destination big day!

5 Beach Wedding Ceremony Tips to Keep it Easy and Breezy:

1. Choose the perfect destination bridal gown.

Easier said than done, right? Most brides think that a tropical location will limit their dream dress options. That’s not the case—if you get creative. First, make sure you choose light-weight fabrics. While chiffon or charmeuse are flowy and perfect for the warm weather, we’ve seen brides go with lace too! Just makes sure the look is light and breathable. A cocktail look is casual-chic (makes sure the wind can’t blow it up), but a sheath or A-line silhouette are great options too. Try to avoid long trains, but consider a cathedral-length veil that will look amazing in the wind. Beach-Wedding-Ceremony-Attire

2. Pick practical bridesmaid dresses.

Formal, floor-length bridesmaid gowns just don’t make sense in a sandy setting. When you’re choosing a dress for a tropical big day, opt for a casual, knee-length style in a light and airy fabric. If floor-length is for you (or you fear the wind), choose chiffon gowns that will keep your ‘maids cool. Flats or sandals are the footwear of choice, so keep that in mind when you get alterations. 3. Incorporate your location wherever you can.

We love the idea of incorporating beach-themed décor into your big day. Consider bright, tropical hues inspired by your location when choosing your wedding colors. Use seashells as centerpieces, or mark table numbers with sand dollars. If you’re interested in a unity candle, consider unity sand instead. Use the sand and shells from the beach to create a memorable keepsake. Unity-Sand

4. Consider your guests.

Instead of offering traditional party favors, provide a bucket of flip-flops in a variety of sizes. Encourage your guests to save their formal shoes and slip into something more comfortable when the dancing begins. You could also provide them with personalized sunglasses so they can actually see you two tie the knot! My favorite idea is to turn your ceremony program into a fan. Keep them cool and on-track. 5. Trash the dress for one-of-a-kind photos.

If you want incredible wedding pictures, I recommend a trash the dress photo shoot. Step into the ocean with your new spouse and get romantic shots in the waves. You’ll look back on them and always remember your unique beach big day!

When you choose a non-traditional venue, unique ideas play a large part in the planning of your big day. Accommodating for the differences will make your ceremony enjoyable and fun, encouraging your guests to relax and partake in the festivities.

I like that you provided some beach wedding ceremony tips to keep it easy and breezy such as selecting practical bridesmaid dresses. Since you will be holding the ceremony in a beach setting, it’s recommended that you choose a dress that fits or matches the venue. You may want to choose a tropical design that is light colored and very comfy. If I were to have a beach wedding ceremony, I would definitely take this into consideration. Thanks.
