You might be wondering, what the heck is a chapel length wedding veil? Here’s a quick guide to the different lengths of wedding veils to help you decide which is right for you! The veil lengths are listed from shortest (birdcage) to longest (cathedral).

• Birdcage: 12-18 inches long, vintage style veil, short, only partially covers the bride’s face and doesn’t touch the shoulders.
• Blusher: traditional style veil that covers the bride’s face but is removed during the ceremony, usually attached to a veil that covers the back of her hair.
• Fingertip: usually about the length from the bride’s head to her fingertips, sometimes about elbow-length
• Chapel: 7 to 9 feet long, floor length veil that reaches about the end of the bride's gown, barely brushes the floor, is sometimes also called a full or ballet length veil.
• Cathedral: 10 to 12 feet long, extends longer than the dress to follow behind the bride along the floor
