As autumn approaches, it’s time to reevaluate our favorite fall wedding color schemes. There’s nothing better than a pretty, pale hue for summer; we love the whimsical effect of muted peach or mint green during the warm months. Now it’s time to embrace warm, rich tones and timeless metallics. We’ve created a forecast for fall palettes, providing you with a little inspiration! We’ll cover colors and the best bridesmaid dresses to match! The Freckled Key Photography Our Five Favorite Fall Wedding Color Schemes: 1. Au natural. The temperature is beginning to drop, along with the leaves from the trees. Reflect the natural beauty with rich reds and deep greens to create a warm and welcoming ambiance. Cranberry and forest green are stunning choices. The deep shades have a jaw-dropping effect that everyone is sure to love. Light sage is also on-trend, and looks beautiful with tans and a touch of blush. 2. Back to the basics with shades of brown. Brown is anything but boring! From light beige to deep brown, there are endless options to choose from. We love the idea of mixing and matching the shades throughout your décor and attire. Nude and natural tones, like camel and bronze, are on-trend for fall 2014! Or dress your all your bridesmaids in a dark hue and complement it with burlap details in their bouquets. 3. A preppy pallete. Many brides believe that blues and yellows should stay with summer, but I disagree! The key is to choose the right hue. Go with navy and mustard and you’ve created a preppy color scheme fit for fall. Add touches of orange and chic stripes to complete the look. Royal blues with sleek aluminum accents is perfect for a modern and preppy palette. 4. Look pretty in purple. 2014 was all about purple. Radiant Orchid was the color of the year, and it’s inspired plenty of other rich, royal palettes. Sangria and mauve are trending for autumn, as well as pumpkin orange. Purples look stunning with orange, so add touches like pumpkin centerpieces, or take outdoor photos near the fallen leaves. 5. When in doubt, go with gold. Sparkling and radiant, gold is sure to be an eye-catcher. I love when brides let their ‘maids pick their own metallic gown for a luxurious mismatched look. If solid gold gowns are too daunting, consider choosing a dress in a rich rust, and pair it with gold accents. This combination is memorable and fun, which is why it’s the perfect choice for a romantic autumn wedding. Use Nature as your inspiration for fall wedding color schemes. It brings a bit of the outdoors inside, cultivating a timeless theme that you and your guests will adore. Which color combination is your favorite? Let us know in the comment section below!
