Debra's Top 12 Spring 2011 Designer Wedding Gowns

Top 12 designer wedding gowns by Debra.

Newest blogger, Debra, lists her picks for top 12 Spring 2011 designer wedding gowns - for every taste, silhouette, and body shape. Just about every bride and bride-to-be would probably agree that wedding dress shopping is the absolute best part about wedding planning.  After all, it’s the only part that is completely, and totally about YOU.  And who doesn’t like being the center of attention every now and then?

Every bride has her own idea of the ideal wedding gown.  No matter how you imagine yourself on your big day, whether you’re searching for a dress that makes a dramatic statement, a dress that gives you that glow of understated elegance, or a high fashion, yet modest wedding dress (they do exist!), The Wedding Shoppe has the perfect gown for you.

No matter what form your perfect dress takes, from short and sweet destination wedding frocks, to gorgeous plus size bridal gowns, to the most fabulous haute couture designs, these are my Top 12 designer wedding gowns from the Spring 2011 Bridal Collections at Wedding Shoppe, Inc.:

#12: Mori Lee Bridal Gown 3091

As far as plus size bridal gowns are concerned, Mori Lee Bridal is among the very best. This gorgeous gown features organza ruffles, and just enough beading and sparkle, this is a great gown for the curvaceous woman.  The fit is so flattering, and has the perfect touch of drama and flare, making this gown simply fabulous.

#11: San Patrick Bridal Gown Carmela

This beatiful, A-Line gown has an ornately ruffled skirt, which carries the same criss-crossing pattern of the bodice.  A dramatic gown for  your big day.

#10: Pronovias Bridal Gown Indalo

If Audrey Hepburn is your idol; and simple, understated elegance is your middle name (or names, as the case may be), this is the dress for you. This dress is so stunningly chic, it’s an instant classic; a timeless choice you’ll never regret.

#9: Pronovias Bridal Gown Alison

Not for the faint of heart, this architectural gown is an amazing twist on simple elegance.  With its structured tiers and one-shouldered neckline, this is a bold, yet beautifully simple look.

#8: Pronovias Bridal Gown Foro

This might very well be the most amazingly perfect informal wedding dress I’ve ever seen.  Perfect for a destination wedding, or a wedding with a more casual, intimate setting.  This dress has a timeless, classic, cocktail silhouette, and amazingly ornate detailing, all in one fun little dress. If your wedding style is more formal, you just might have to get this cute number for the rehearsal dinner!

#7: Christina Wu Bridal Gown 15467

Jumping right from an informal frock, to this dramatic Christina Wu ballgown, this dress carries absolutely no reminders of the overdone, cupcake-like ballgowns of the 1980s, yet its flattering shape will still allow you to eat all the wedding cake you please.  You might say you’ll be able to “have your cake, and eat it too!”

#6: Allure Couture Bridal Gown C174

This gown’s feathered skirt gives a fun new look to its fit and flare silhouette. Pair it with simple accessories, because this gown has plenty of detailing, all on its own.

#5: Jasmine Bridal Gown T439

This dramatic Jasmine bridal ballgown is like a fairytale come to life.  Its extensively layered skirt is reminiscent of the feathery detailing on my previous pick, but fuller, and more dramatic. Glitz and glamour are the calling cards of this gorgeous dress.

#4: Pronovias Bridal Gown Algarve

I love a good fit and flare, especially one with a ruffled skirt.  This is a gorgeous example of just that, with its dazzling layers and ruched, gathered bodice, this gown is sure to flatter and amaze.

#3: Blue by Enzoani Bridal Gown Dillon-A

A more  eclectic choice, to be sure, this dress is the definition of haute couture fabulosity.  This is another dress not for the faint of heart, but for the lover of all things high fashion, unafraid of bold choices. This gown is also a great modest wedding dress pick, and can be ordered in all white or ivory, if Aunt Agnes doesn’t approve of the black floral jacket. Bonus: The "Dillon-A" also comes with a detachable precious stone belt, for added glitz.

#2: Pronovias Bridal Gown Atalaya

This dress beautifully captures the multi-faceted personality of the free-spirited bride. With its beautiful lace tiers, and simple, elegant silhouette, this dress is simulateneously brilliantly dramatic and understated.  I can’t stop staring.

#1: Jasmine Bridal Gown T440

This stunning dress is pure perfection, and winner of my overall favorite from the Spring 2011 Bridal Collections. Beautifully designed fabric roses hold a special place in my heart; so naturally, I absolutely adore the detailing of the skirt. Making it even better, is the figure-flattering pleating at the waist, and the modern, architectural update on the sweetheart neckline, which perfectly balances the frilly, girly drama of the skirt.  This dress is sure to leave your guests green with envy over your stunning beauty.

And so concludes my Top 12 List of Designer Wedding Gowns from the Spring 2011 Bridal Collections.

I hope you love it as much as I do!
