30 Love Songs for Your Wedding Music Playlist

Need to fill a dance floor? Classics like “Shout,” “Sweet Child of Mind,” or “Brown Eyed Girl” will do that instantaneously. But what about when it’s your turn to share a few steps with your groom or bride? The processional, recessional, and first dance are the most difficult songs to select on your wedding music playlist. They need to be romantic, memorable, and most of all meaningful to the relationship you share with your soon-to-be spouse. We asked our brides to share their tunes with us, and I’ve come up with a few of my favorite “unique” options, as well. Here are 30 wedding songs to get you started. 30-Romantic-Songs-for-Your-Wedding-Music-Playlist

My “Unique” Favorites:

I’m well aware that some of these songs aren’t as original as I’ve led on, but they’re still uncommon to today’s wedding scene. I’ve picked tracks by indie artists, A-list performers, and a few crooners from the good ol’ days. Did I miss a few? Share them in a comment below! 16. “XO”- Beyoncé or John Mayer 17. “What a Wonderful World”- Louis Armstrong 18. “Love Never Felt So Good”- Michael Jackson and Justin Timberlake 19. “The Moon Song”- Karen O 20. “Best Day of My Life”- American Authors 21. “I Choose You”- Sara Bareilles 22. “Young and Beautiful”- Lana Del Rey 23. “You Are The Best Thing”- Ray Lamontagne 24. It’s time to turn up your wedding music playlist.

Now that you have a few ideas, it’s time to make your own list of wedding songs! Turn the task into a romantic night in with your fiancé. Grab some wine, your favorite takeout, and Spotify, and start exploring your favorite songs. The key to making an original, personalized playlist is making it with the one you love. When the DJ turns it up, everyone will know what the big day is all about.

Great list of popular wedding song favorites! I know I’ve certainly heard a lot of these in my last 7 years as a Calgary wedding photographer; we here in Calgary particularly love our country songs, and EVERYONE gets up to dance to “Cadillac Ranch” by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band – it seems like everyone knows the dance steps at every wedding! Other popular ones are “Single Ladies” from Beyonce for the toss of the bouquet – it’s practically a guarantee. Haha! Thank you for this post!
