Extended Cathedral Train


The extended cathedral train is the longest train style, and is only seen in the most formal wedding ceremonies. (It is also referred to as a "Grand Cathedral Train," "Monarch Train" or a "Royal Cathedral Train")

An extended cathedral train reaches 9 feet or more behind the gown (measured from the back of the waist), and cascades endlessly behind the bride, creating an abundance of drama.

With its great length, it has become quite uncommon to see a dress with an extended cathedral train. They are, however, still seen at the most formal of wedding ceremonies, such as royal weddings.
