The art of attaching beads to one another or to cloth, usually by the use of a needle and thread or soft, flexible wire.
Beading is the process of using pearls, crystals, sequins, bugle beads, and/or rhinestones to create patterns on a simple background. Most beading takes the form of jewelry or other personal adornment. A custom of many cultures, beading for personal adornment has thrived for thousands of years. Archaeological records show people made and used beads as long as 5,000 years ago.
