What to ask the wedding photographer?

We would like to introduce a new guest blogger - Bethany, Owner and Lead Photographer of Appleye Photography.

Bethany has innovative engagement, unique wedding, and creative special moment photography. No question why Wedding Shoppe, Inc. and My Wedding Chat are pleased to bring Appleye Photography to our site.

We are engaged! Now what to ask the wedding photographer?

Many couples are faced with signing multiple contracts before walking down the aisle and it can be a little overwhelming and mind boggling! For more tips and tricks on wedding photos, check out these posts! "Plan for Intimate and Unique Weddings Photos" "Get the Best Wedding Reception Photos"

From the photographer herself:

I remember sitting down with the first Wedding photographer I had interviewed and thought to myself where do I even begin? I went home thinking to myself ...I really should have put more thought into this before meeting with him. After all, you only get one shot at this and you can't ask the wedding photographer for a do over!

So, years have passed and now the tables have been turned. I am now the Wedding photographer and the owner of Appleye Photography {http://appleyephotosblog.com/blog/} which I am very blessed for.

Since then I have come up with a list of questions to help the bride and groom make a well informed decision when hiring their Photographer. This list of questions will give you a good idea of how much experience the photographer has, what their shooting styles are like, and the what you can expect. It's a big decision but when you find the right fit it can really make your day fun and relaxing!

Important questions to ask:

1.  How long have you been in the business and how many weddings have you shot?

2.  Is photography your full time career?

3.  Have you had any formal training and do you belong to any memberships or photography networks?

4.  How many camera bodies do you carry?  (always should have two)

5.  How many lenses do you have and what mm are they?

6.  Do you offer color correction and retouching?

7.  What happens if your photographer is sick or injured the day of your wedding?

8.  Why is it good to have a 2nd shooter or an assistant on your wedding day?

9.  What types of payments do you accept?

10.  Do you offer a la carte or package pricing?

11.  What is your booking process?

12.  Do we get the rights to reproduce the images and if so, up to what size?

13.  When should we expect our images to be posted online to view?

Thank you for taking the time to look through these questions and feel free to come up with a list of your own! You can print them out and ask away! ~Bethany O'Day 651-815-3483 Owner and lead Photographer www.appleyephotos.com Check back with My Wedding Chat to read blogs from Appleye Photography and see one-of-kind engagement photography, wedding photography, family portraits, pregnancy photography, newborn pictures, and much more.
