It’s the second week of our Top Pins series; the series in which I look through our Pinterest boards to see what you’ve determined to be the wedding trends of the week. While some of you are still re-pinning lace wedding dresses and navy blue
, I’ve noticed a few more trends turn up for spring. Purple bridesmaid dresses are taking over the color palette, which is no surprise since Radiant Orchid
is PANTONE’s Color of the Year. Designers like Kennedy Blue have taken this trend in stride with multiple shades available. One of my favorite designers, Hayley Paige, got a bit of love this week for her bedazzled bridal gowns and unique silhouettes. The same goes for Alfred Sung dresses and the Dessy Collection, which both feature vintage-inspired looks for your ladies. I’ll walk you through your favorite wedding trends and give you some insight into these top designs.
Week two’s wedding trends begin with your bridesmaids.
Most spring and summer brides have purchased their gowns and moved their attention to their ‘maids. Your top pins have revealed this week’s top bridesmaid designers. Alfred Sung dresses
are oh-so-chic with their vintage flair and unique design. If you’re having a retro wedding (Mad Men
, anyone?) you should consider this line. Alfred Sung styles come in a variety of vivid colors that work with any wedding color palette. If you’re looking for modest bridesmaid gowns, or even backless silhouettes, this line has them all. The Dessy Collection
also features a few vintage-inspired styles. In the past I’ve recommended Dessy for brides obsessed with the Gatsby theme
. The styles you re-pinned this week are more versatile, which is great for a bride looking for a subtle theme. What do you think of these styles in taupe? This soft shade is very on-trend.
Shop short purple bridesmaid dresses from Kennedy Blue.
The chiffon dresses below are no stranger to Pinterest. This image is a great representation of Kennedy Blue
: easy, elegant, and wear-again ready. The short purple bridesmaid dresses in taffeta are another great option. If you’re having a fall or winter wedding, you may prefer this fabric over the flowing chiffon. All four dresses look fabulous in purple, don’t you think? Purple can fit into almost any wedding theme when the right seasonal shade is selected.
The always heavenly Hayley Paige.
I was so happy to see Hayley Paige
all over the Pinterest boards
this week. The gowns this young designer comes up with are unique, modern, and absolutely gorgeous. I must admit that I’ve considered Hayley Paige for my future dream dress. She uses patterns, ruffles, glitz, and fit to lure us in and try something new. Both of these looks are unique in their own way. Which is your favorite?
