Bridal Makeup Artist Chitra: Your Wedding day is probably the most special day of your life and most brides wish to look classically beautiful. Layer. Bridal makeup needs to be layered so that is lasts the whole day and looks fresh and stunning throughout. A good quality primer should be applied after moisturizer to ensure that the foundation goes on smoothly, and gives a polished look to the makeup. Smashbox has one of the best ones on the market and Laura Mercier also has a very good quality primer. Blend. Your foundation should blend in beautifully with your skin tone, and be applied in natural light, if possible. Do use a good foundation brush to blend it very well into your skin, as this makes all the difference to the overall result of your makeup. Set it well afterwards with very good quality powder. Waterproof. For beautiful eyes, ensure your mascara is waterproof, so that it does not run during any emotional moments during your special day, and apply 2-3 coats for the best effect, separating the lashes so that there are no clumps. Neutral but defined. With regards to eyeshadows, opting for neutral colors ensures a classic look, and browns, pinks and creams are very popular choices. Put a medium shade over your eyelid, with a darker color in the outer corners and blend very well with an eyeshadow brush. Do use a dark brown/black or gray eyeliner around your eyes to define them and ensure that your brows are well groomed as this makes an incredible difference to your makeup look, ensuring you look polished and beautiful. Flattering lip colors. With regard to lipsticks, shades of peach, pink and coral are very flattering and look great in the photos. Do use a good matching lip pencil to line your lips, and fill in the lipcolour well using a lip brush if possible to ensure a smooth finish and the best result. Natural blush. A sheer and natural blush is essential to compete your look and can be applied with a blusher brush onto the apples of your cheeks to give that all important bridal flush, that looks simply stunning.
