Sarah's top 12 Spring 2011 Wedding Dresses. How do we limit it to only 12?! See all of our amazing designer gowns at the Wedding Shoppe!>> Before we jump into the list I figure I should give you a quick synopsis on why my Top 12 Designer Wedding Dresses were selected. As someone who works not only at a bridal salon, but as someone who also works on the website and looks at ALL the imaging for marketing/advertising purposes, I see hundreds of bridal gowns almost daily. Bridal dresses have begun to blend in for me and, after a while, they all start to look the same. I enjoy designer wedding dresses that really standout above the rest and stray away from the ordinary--ones that take more of a risk. With that said, I do have a few on the more traditional side. Here are my Top 12 Spring 2011 Designer Bridal Gowns:
12.) Blue by Enzoani Bridal Gown DessieBlue by Enzoani Bridal Gown Dessie is one I overlooked a few times, until I eventually decided to take a good look at it. At first I was shocked at how much I enjoyed the styling of this particular gown, but with the mermaid and illusion tulle sheath silhouette overlay, I couldn’t stop admiring the unique qualities of this bridal dress. I’m also a huge fan of lace so I love how they subtly incorporated lace on the bodice and again on the bottom trim of the tulle. The back of Blue by Enzoani Bridal Gown Dessie flows perfectly into a train, but nothing completes this designer wedding dress like the dainty spaghetti straps – they are so fitting and look stunning.
11.) Allure Bridal Gown 8804One of the more traditional wedding dresses on my list is Allure Bridal Gown 8804. I found myself coming back to this dress and looking at it. I kept thinking, “Why am I so drawn to this dress?” I think the color is a huge reason. The color makes a major difference among dresses, and a designer usually photographs the dress in the best color choice it comes in. The beaded décor on this bridal dress is exquisite, and the flower waistband is so beautiful. And the skirt on Allure Bridal Gown 8804 is clean and simple with only buttons, and absolutely love it.
10.) Maggie Sottero Bridal Gown BrookeThe best word to describe Maggie Sottero Bridal Gown Brooke is "regal." This bridal gown proves the theory that “a little goes a long way.” With the intricate beaded band on the bodice, the rest is a simple, sleek mermaid silhouette gown – no ruching, no pick-ups, no appliqués, nothing but grace and elegance. For a special feature, this is a signature Maggie Sottero corset wedding gown. Simple, stunning, and show stopping with Maggie Sottero corset wedding gown Brooke!
9.) Pronovias Bridal Gown AlbatrosWe have all seen layered tulle designer bridal gowns, but not quite like Pronovias Bridal Gown Albatros. The polka dot tulle fabric chosen for this bridal dress brings it to life and gives it character. Some may think this dress is a bit out there, but I absolutely love it. It really is a simple layered tulle dress, and the beaded ribbon waistband breaks up the tulle and gives it more pizazz. Pronovias Bridal Gown Albatros is so unique, I don't think you would see many brides wearing. It would make a girl stand out above the rest and in a very good way. Guests would never forget a designer bridal gown like this.
8.) Mori Lee Bridal Gown 1601Mori Lee Bridal Gown 1601 looks like it’s straight out of a fairytale. I love the heavenly and organic feel organza gives a bridal gown, and the floral decoration amplifies all of that. The ruched bodice, sweetheart neckline, and ribbon waistline perfectly complete this princess bridal gown. I can picture a bride just floating down the aisle in this designer wedding dress. (Note: this dress not online; sold in-store or over the phone. To try this on in-store or to order over the phone, call 651.298.1144)
7.) Blue by Enzoani Bridal Gown DanburySearching for tea length wedding dresses can be hard, but finding the perfect tea length bridal gown is even tougher. This is not the case with Blue by Enzoani Bridal Gown Danbury. Some tea length wedding dresses lose their “wedding glow,” but not this one. It still shines and standouts for any bride and gives off an extra Hollywood glamour feel. Enzoani is always top notch with beading and belts, and the beaded belt on this tea length bridal gown is astonishing! This little Blue by Enzoani Bridal Gown Danbury is tailored to perfection – and the best part…you can show off a really cute pair of shoes! Try Enzoani Shoes, they are adorable!
6.) Maggie Sottero Bridal Gown BernadetteIf you read my Top 12 Designer Bridesmaid Dresses, you know I LOVE dresses with a little sassy open back. I now present you with Maggie Sottero Bridal Gown Bernadette. The open back always gives a little extra sass, and the beading below the bust gives it some dazzle, but let’s not forget about the fabric. I think there is nothing more classic and gorgeous than full lace wedding dresses. A lace wedding dress with an open-back and nicely fitted silhouette come together to create such a classic wedding dress--thus you have Maggie Sottero Bridal Gown Bernadette.
5.) Watters and Watters Bridal Gown SydneyWatters and Watters is probably my favorite wedding dress designer we carry here at Wedding Shoppe Inc. I am always fascinated by the fresh, innovative designs they come out with each season. I truly do not know where to begin describing Watters and Watters Bridal Gown Sydney. The re-embroidered lace wedding dress has an oatmeal tulle asymmetrical overlay and draping on the left side, giving it extra personality which I love. On top of that is the lace rose pattern laid on top of the bodice which is sculpted just right – not symmetrical in any way, but still balanced. And then of course a little ribbon to cinch the waist and break up the fabrics. The technique and design on this dress is nothing short of perfect--all in al,l brilliantly designed! (Note: this dress is not online yet, it will be soon. In the meantime to order in-store or over the phone, call 651.298.1144).
4.) Mikaella Bridal Gown 1562A little more on the traditional side again, but my favorite part about Mikaella Bridal Gown 1562 is that it kind of looks like two completely different designer bridal gowns from the front and back. The front features a v-neck, fitted silhouette, and a few simple and graceful floral appliqués. Turning over to the back, you find spaghetti straps, a big bow, and a chapel train. I love every inch of this subtle but striking dress. (Note: Mikaella Bridal is sold in-store only, and we do have this sample in-store to try on. Call 651.298.1144 to try-on this dress or to order over the phone).
3.) Jasmine Bridal Gown T444I know I mentioned Hollywood glamour earlier, but this right here is the definition of Hollywood glamour. Jasmine Bridal Gown T444 is a couture-styled wedding dress without the high-end price tag. The two-piece illusion (it is only one piece) creates a very unique look to a bridal dress. The lace bodice is beautifully paired with a soft, easy, fitted skirt. The skirt ends with a nicely sculpted chapel train. I didn’t forget about the ribbon; ribbon is a great feature to any dress, but most come with few color options. With Jasmine Bridal Gown T444 you have more colors to select from for the brides looking to add a little color to their dress or tie in wedding colors.
2.) Pronovias Bridal Gown AtalayaRomance is in the air! Both vintage and contemporary styling creates Pronovias Bridal Gown Atalaya. This full tulle and lace wedding dress comes in at #2 because of its matchless look. With almost no added embellishments, this bridal gown stands on its own. Lace wedding dresses can be fairly easy to find, but one as unique and impeccable as this is this is very hard to come across. Pronovias Bridal Gown Atalaya is so light and soft in features; any bride would shine and float down the aisle. Not to mention, the gold coloring is so astonishing and dramatic in itself it doesn’t need anything else. This lace wedding dress is so graceful, poised, and one-of-a-kind, but more importantly, it’s so romantic!
1.) Maggie Sottero Bridal Gown EmmalineOh, Maggie Sottero Bridal Gown Emmaline…how I love thee! This tulle ball gown from the Sottero and Midgely Collection is so dreamy and charming. With only a few features, like the gorgeous jewelling on the bodice and the big tulle bow, a simple ball gown becomes a glamorous and luxurious Sottero and Midgley Bridal Gown. The bow may be a bit too big for some, but for me it really adds a little extra appeal to this designer wedding dress. Maggie Sottero Bridal Gown Emmaline has earned the Brittney three “loves”…LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! There you have my Top 12 Designer Wedding Dresses. Please feel free to let me know what you loved, what you didn’t like, and what you would have liked to see on here.
