Trying to stay organized and pull all of your ideas together? Planning a wedding can be stressful and a lot to remember. Something pops into your head one day but you can't remember it the next! Sometimes I need to find clever ways of organizing so I'm able keep everything straight. There's always Pinterest, but a hands-on project really gets my creative juices flowing. A fun way to keep your wedding thoughts and ideas together visually is by creating an inspiration board.
I decided to create my wedding planning collages in Photoshop. The board above shows off my favorite wedding color--purple. I pulled images from my Minnesota lifestyle, adding a few family photos to remind me what the day is all about. I found a gorgeous Jim Hjelm Bridesmaid Dress to consider while browsing Wedding Shoppe, Inc. As you can see, it was easy for me to gather pieces for a purple big day – I'm a major fan of Prince and the Vikings!
How to Make a Wedding Inspiration Board:
An inspiration board can contain anything from a wedding dress you saw in a magazine to a colorful bird you saw in the park. Compile these images and many more into a collage that can inspire the rest of your wedding plans. What do you need to start this easy DIY project? I recommend a poster board, scissors, tape, and Post-Its for extra notes. An empty bulletin board with lots of push pins will also do the trick! You can even design your inspiration board on the computer with programs such as Microsoft Word, Publisher and Paint, or Adobe programs including Photoshop and Illustrator. Choose your medium and get started! The fun part is finding the photos.Consider your wedding colors.
