Finding the perfect bridesmaid dresses.

I know everyone says that no matter what, the bride looks gorgeous on her wedding day. I hope I do! I know I will feel like a million bucks no matter what I look like, because I will be marrying my best friend. I know I could be wearing a potato sack and Tim would still love me. Thankfully I won’t be wearing a potato sack; I will be wearing a beautiful Maggie Sottero wedding gown! I purchased my wedding gown a few months ago from TWS, and began looking at bridesmaid dresses. No matter what, I want my girls to look just as gorgeous as I do on Tim’s and my big day!

We decided it would be easiest to go dress shopping over winter break, because everyone would be free from class schedules and home for the holidays. I made two appointments, one at TWS, and one at another dress store.  Our first appointment was at the other store, and I was not impressed.  I felt as if the woman helping us didn’t care about my big day, and didn’t really get the feeling she appreciated us.  We left empty handed and frustrated. Our next appointment was at TWS, which I was really looking forward to.  I had requested to have Carolyn at our appointment because of the amazing experience I had with her when I got my wedding gown.  I told the girls all about her, how nice and helpful she was, super fun, and that she was wearing a leopard print shirt (what we are accenting with for our wedding) the day I got my gown. It was like destiny for me to work with her again!

We arrived a little early, so we started our appointment with Cindy while Carolyn was finishing up with her other appointment. I asked if they could pull the gown I had purchased, so I could see how the bridesmaid dresses would look with it, which they said was not a problem at all and brought it down! When Carolyn came down, we were both giddy! She quickly began asking me about dresses I liked, and pulled the ones that I had picked out online that I wanted them to try. I just wasn’t feeling the ones I had picked out, and neither were the girls.  I told them I wanted to pick a dress that they liked too, and something that was flattering on all of their body types. Our appointment was running a little long, and it was getting close to closing time.  I felt so bad that we were still there, having not found the perfect dress for them yet, I started apologizing! Everyone was super nice about it, and said it wasn’t a big deal. With the help of 2 other ladies, we were able to find the perfect dress! We ended up choosing a dress by Venus Bridesmaid Dress BM1359 in a beautiful Chocolate color, which looks amazing with my gown! I just can’t wait to see how gorgeous they all look in them! I am also so thankful that I have been able to have such a wonderful experience at TWS, and to have built this friendship with Carolyn. I never expected to have such an amazing consultant when finding my gown, and my girls’ bridesmaid dresses. So a big thanks to Carolyn and everyone at TWS, I love you ladies!
