“…when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible…”
-Harry, from When Harry Met Sally
Engagement photo session ideas.Taking a cue from Harry, I am anxious for married life and everything that comes with it. First up: getting save-the-date/engagement photos out to family and friends. With cool, crisp air, leaves dancing in the wind, and bulky-sweater season fast-approaching, deciding when the photo shoot should take place is virtually effortless. I can just picture it now: walking the streets of Mississippi Blvd, spiced apple cider in one hand, and a warm arm to snuggle with on the other - this makes me happy. Making things even easier, finding a photographer to capture this dreamy scene was more than easy (as easy as making pumpkin pie!).
Find a photographer who can rock your vision.Wedding Shoppe, Inc. employee, Britt, introduced me to the lovely and amazingly-talented Jenna, owner of Photos by Jenna Leigh. Going through each of her past events, you find yourself swooning over her use of antique hues, sensing the love that each couple has for one another (or, at least, I did). For any bride who finds this vintage romance irresistible, Mrs. Jenna is your woman. Her style is exactly what I was looking for, so I contacted her right away, and she immediately felt like a friend I've always had. She engaged herself with the details of my wedding, and made it clear that she would work with me to ensure that my fiancé and I would be the happiest pair of love birds for our fabulous photo shoot. This Wisconsinite-photographer has great prices, enthusiasm, and creativity (not to mention, a love for Minnesota) - these are great qualifications in my book. I recommend Photos by Jenna Leigh to any and all brides. Already October, and just 8 months from the wedding, the leaves are turning their shades of red, yellow, and orange, telling everyone that autumn is upon us, and I only have a few more weeks to select a location and outfits for a fall engagement session. Living in the northwoods, inspiration abounds, with seemingly endless options for Jenna and I to choose from, such as the Mississippi River Boulevard, apple orchids, and pumpkin patches galore. Plus, my love for wool sweaters, playing in leaves, and yummy apple cider, all fall beautifully into any of these scenes. I can't wait!
