Many of you probably know that you can find some great accessories here at the Shoppe to wear on your wedding day. And, if you read My Wedding Chat regularly, you probably remember us mentioning our custom headpiece designer last week. But what you might not know is that we also have our own in-house jewelry designer. Kirsten Butala has been designing pieces for her Hannah Rae Designs line for about ten years, and she would love to help you create the accessories of your dreams with some of the best handmade jewelry Minnesota has to offer!
Looking for custom designed jewelry? Look no further than Hannah Rae!There are some amazing advantages to working with custom jewelry makers. You can completely customize your pieces, making them as complex or simple as you would like. You can also choose just about any medium your designer is willing to work with. “I like making just about anything,” Kirsten says. “I do tend to gravitate towards classic styling. I love using Swarovski crystals because of how much they sparkle.” When designing a piece, Kirsten takes into consideration the overall feel of a bride’s wedding ensemble and her own personal style. “My advice to brides looking for jewelry is to have fun with it. If you are more extravagant, go bold. If you tend to be more classic, stay along those lines. Don’t choose something that just isn’t you.”
Can’t find the perfect piece in stores? Consider custom designed jewelry.
Custom bracelets from Hannah Rae Designs.Have some heirloom jewelry you’d like to wear on your big day? Not a problem! “One of my favorite things is when a bride brings in her mother's or grandmother's jewelry and asks me to incorporate it into an all new piece just for her,” Kirsten says. We’re guessing the fact that that her business is named after her own daughter might have something to do with her profound appreciation for that special mother-daughter relationship. “Hannah had just turned one when I started making jewelry. She has always been very creative; she loves beautiful things and she inspires me every day.”
