How To Measure
Do not measure over clothing. Measure with undergarments similar to those you will wear with your dress. The measurement tape should be placed around your bust, waist and hips and should not be pulled too tight or have too much slack.
Bust Measurement
Measure across the back and fullest part of the bust (not under the bust).
Waist Measurement
Measure across the narrowest part of the natural waist. Bend to one side to find the natural waist.
Hip Measurement
Standing with feet together, measure at the fullest part of the hip.
Length / Hollow to Hem
Designers make their dresses with a standard Hollow to Hem measurement based on the size of the dress (See size charts for details). This standard measurement varies between designers. Designers recommend considering extra length if you are taller than 5’8” including heel height. Extra length is typically 1” to several inches longer and will vary between designers. Availability and fees are dependent on each designer.
Choosing a Size
On each product page, there is a link to each designer's size chart. Compare your bust, waist and hip measurements to the size chart. It is extremely important that you order a size to fit the largest part of your body. If you are in between sizes, the designer recommends ordering the larger size and having the dress altered down. Your measurements are taken to determine the closest size and alterations will be necessary to custom fit the dress.
Non-standard size options are listed on each product page along with associated additional charges. Examples of non-standard options include extra length for customers 5’8 or taller including heel height, additional charges for sizes 18+, petite (P) or Women’s (W), and hollow to hem. Please review the applicable product page for details.
